I’m starting to mess around a bit with color schemes now for the new logo and website. Here’s the first result. I’m not 100% sure on the color that “Music” is written in or the darker blue outline. Maybe change the dark blue outline to the “Music” color or tone down the saturation on the color of “Music” although I think that stronger color may do well for headings/subheading/borders/links in other portions of the page.

Okay, I’ve been doing some experimenting with Adobe Illustrator and finally have some results to show with the Hidden Music logo. Please let me know what you think.

Over the weekend while I was trapped at work for eternity trying to fix the server, Yaeka got bored (she was there with me all day Saturday) and drew the beginnings of what will become the logo for hiddenmusic.com. Check it out below and let me know what you think.

Since registering HiddenMusic.com, I’ve been trying to decide what platform and language to develop the site with - I even bought a book on ASP .NET. It seems pretty easy to find people commenting on how PHP/MySql isn’t adequate to develop a serious web application, but after finding this out, I have a new found faith in PHP. So while I won’t have a website up and running any time soon, I can at least now pick my webhost for the site and at least get a splash page up and running. I still need a logo so any ideas would be appreciated.

I’ve been talking about this idea for at least a year now, but I’ve finally taken some action. What’s this idea? Well basically it’s a website where you can either find a mix tape/cd placed somewhere near you or leave details regarding one you’ve left someplace so that others may discover it.

I was really surprised to find that the domain was not taken and had to scoop it up. Nothing is up yet and it’ll probably be a while before anything is near working condition, but the second a beta version is up, you bet you’ll hear about it here.
